TWENTY YEARS AGO — Trinity defensive lineman Jarrett Rodriguez is named The Democrat’s Player of the Week after having 20 tackles in a 19-13 win over Heidelberg Academy in the Class A South State Playoffs.
TEN YEARS AGO — Eleven-year-old Timmy Foster of Natchez will compete in the 1999 New Orleans Saints NFL Gatorade Punt, Pass & Kick Team Championship during halftime of the Tampa Bay-New Orleans game.
FIVE YEARS AGO — Mattie Geoghegan scores 12 points and Katie Anne Swinny finishes with 10 points as the ACCS Lady Rebels defeat the Centreville Lady Tigers 51-39 at the ACCS Girls Tip-Off Classic.
