TWENTY YEARS AGO — Ferriday will be looking to advance past the second round of the playoffs for the first time since its jump to Class 3A in 1985, but it won’t be easy as the Trojans play at Mansfield.

TEN YEARS AGO — Curtis Minor scores three goals, two in a six-minute span during the second half, as Cathedral defeats Natchez High 10-0 in the first-ever soccer game between the two Natchez schools.

FIVE YEARS AGO — Latasha Williams scores a career-high 39 points and Erica Lewis and Kim Griffin have 14 points each to lead the Wilkinson County Lady Wildcats to a 74-65 win over McComb.
