Imaging facility accredited

Vidalia — Riverpark Imaging Center in Vidalia was awarded a three-year term of accreditation in CT as a result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology.

The ACR awards accreditation of facilities for hte achievement of high practicve standardss afer a pree-review evaluation of the practicve. Evaluations are conduced by board certifed physicians and medical physicits who are experts in the field. They assess the qualifications of the personnel and adequacy of facility equipment. The surveyors report their findings to the ACR’s committee on accreditation.

Riverpark Imaging Center is the only center in the area to obtain accreditation in all three modalities — CT, MRI and mammography.
