ACSO sorts out stolen items
Published Friday, September 25, 2009
NATCHEZ — Adams County Sheriff’s deputies were sorting through piles of stolen goods recovered Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation stemming from two burglary arrests earlier this month.
The arrests of Jade Neal, 21, and Jared Rebold, 22, on Sept. 1 eventually led sheriff’s deputies to a storage facility on U.S. 61 North, which they executed a search warrant on Thursday.
Adams County Sheriff’s Deputy Maj. Ricky Stevens said the storage locker at the facility belonged to Rebold’s mother.
Thursday afternoon investigators working the case were busy sorting through the piles of stolen merchandise and comparing it to recent burglary reports in an effort to connect the goods to their owners.
The search warrant yielded the recovery of small mountains of gold and silver flatware, countless watches and rings, miscellaneous jewelry, a rifle, one tube of lip balm, one die and a large bag filled with prescription narcotics.
“We saw narcotics taken in nearly every break in,” Stevens said.
Stevens said any county residents recently victimized by burglary should contact the sheriff’s office to see if their possessions have been recovered.
“There’s no way to tell how many houses all of this stuff came from,” Stevens said.
When Neal and Rebold were initially arrested Stevens said he believed the pair were responsible for as many as 20 burglaries dating back as far as last year.
While Neal has been charged with 10 counts of burglary, Rebold has been charged with two counts of burglary with additional counts to be added on in the near future, Stevens said.
And authorities believe Neal and Rebold did not act alone in the crimes with which they’re charged.
Stevens said he expects more arrests will be made in relation to the sting of burglaries.

His mother's storage?. Check her out too.
She probably is wearing some of the jewelry(LOL). Then again she might not even know. Parents these days are afraid to go into their kids rooms. Privacy..." You live in my house.. I can go into any room that I want when I want to.
This could have well been a stash of weapons to do harm.
PARENTS KEEP VIGILANT IN YOUR HOMES.
YOUR CHILDREN CAN BE UP TO NO GOOD, RIGHT UNDER YOUR NOSES.
