Marian Venita Beard Guidry

Services for Marian Venita Beard Guidry, 59, who died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, in Houston, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Saint James Baptist Church with the Rev. Wendell Greene officiating.

Burial will follow at Mount Beulah Christian Church Cemetery under the direction of N. A. James Funeral Home, Hammond.

Mrs. Guidry was born Dec. 14, 1947, in Frogmore, the daughter of Johnny and Eva Beard. She lived most of her life in South Louisiana, before settling in Houston, Texas.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Lee Guidry; children, Patricia Banks, Deon Guidry, Donna Lacey, and Jamie Guidry; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; parents, Johnny and Eva Beard; sister, Myrtle Bossier; brothers, Clyde Beard, Edward Roy Beard, and Fritz Beard; stepsister, Velma Meredith; and stepbrother, Louis Arrington.
