Tommy Faulkner Sr.

1934 - 2007

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Services for Tommy Faulkner Sr., 72, of Ferriday, who died Monday, April 23, 2007, at his residence, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. C. D. Beard officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Faulkner was born Aug. 1, 1934, in Cherry Valley, Ark., the son of Willie and Lucille Faulkner. He was a resident of Ferriday. Mr. Faulkner proudly served his country in the U. S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Faulkner; his parents; brother, Harold Faulkner; and sister, Barbara Jean Davis.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Dooley of Tunica, La.; sons, Bubba Faulkner and companion, Sharon Flake and her children, Jeremy Wilkinson and Travis Flake, all of Vidalia and Tommy Faulkner Jr. of Ferriday; grandchildren, Kristi Beasley and husband, Billy, Ashley and Jason Bush, Doug Dooley Jr., Jessica, Tel and Ethan Faulkner; great-grandchildren, Maddie Grace and Will Thomas Beasley and Emma Claire Bush; brothers, Billy Faulkner and wife, Ollie, of Monterey, Neil Faulkner and wife, Jeanie, of Ferriday, Paul Faulkner of Frogmore and Mickey Faulkner and wife, Rachel, of Marrero, La.; sisters, Martha Southworth and husband, Dan, of DeQueen, Ark., Mary Alice Wilkinson and husband, Lanis, of Meadville, Norma Franklin and husband, Sonny, of Clinton, La. and Linda Cook and husband, Wayne, of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Jason Bush, Billy Beasley, Jake King, Doug Dooley Jr., Tel Faulkner and Ethan Faulkner.
