Elisha L. Quinn, Natchez

1935 - 2007

NATCHEZ — Services for Elisha L. Quinn, 71, of Natchez, who died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. John Quinn officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral System.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mr. Quinn was born Dec. 8, 1935, in Adams County, the son of Cicero and Geneva Quinn. He was a 1957 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School. He attended University of Southern Mississippi, Natchez Campus. He was employed with Ransom Construction Company and was a self-employed carpenter.

He was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joseph Quinn; sister, Margree Quinn; a son, Keith Quinn; sister-in-law, Louise Quinn; and a grandson.

Survivors include his wife, Margie; his daughters, Delveta Quinn and Velveeta Harris and husband, Melvin, all of Natchez and Diane Daniel and husband, William, of Pensacola, Fla.; sons, Victor Quinn and wife, Pam, of Las Vegas, Ron Quinn and wife, Monica, and Michael Quinn and wife, Juanita, all of Natchez; brothers, Cicero Quinn and wife, Eliza, George Quinn, the Rev. John L. Quinn and wife, Eliza, and Sampson Quinn, all of Natchez and Henry Quinn and wife, Audrey, of Chicago; sisters, Mary Louise Fitzgerald, Della Estelle Quinn and Alvin Louise Howard, and husband, the Rev. Leon Howard, all of Natchez; mother-in-law, Annie B. Green of Natchez; sisters-in-law, Claudia Quinn and Emma Rose Davis, both of Natchez; brothers-in-law, Ike Davis and wife, Gwen, Lindsey Davis and wife, Delores, Joseph Davis and Freddie Davis and wife, Alma, all of Houston, Texas; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

I offer my deepest condolences to Margie and all the chldren, Uncles and Aunt's in the home going of Uncle Elisha. I pray that God give you comfort and peace during your period of bereavement!

I offer my deepest condolences to Mrs. Margie and family. I only knew Mr. Quinn a few months and love him like my father. I will alway remember him not as my patient but as a child of god.
