Eddie James Payne, Dallas

DALLAS — Memorial services for Eddie James Payne, of Seagoville, Texas, who died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at his home, were Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at Golden Gate Funeral Home.

Eddie graduated in 1975 from South Natchez High School. He attended Video Technical Institute, graduating in 1988. He was self-employed for some years as a commercial trucker and at this death, was employed with BAE Systems, formerly Boeing, as an electronic technician.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Hattie Belle Payne; his father, Frank Payne Sr.; and a brother, Willard Payne, all of Natchez.

Survivors include his wife, Lydia Payne; daughter, Shiminia “Nicky” Payne; stepdaughter, Larkia James; sons, Edrieck ”Shawn” Payne and Byron Payne, all of Dallas; sisters, Brenda Belton and Patricia Wright, both of Hinesville, Ga.; brothers, Frank Payne Jr. of Alpharetta, Ga. and Ronnie Payne Sr. of Lancaster, Texas; and a host of loving family and friends who dearly love and miss him.
