FERRIDAY — Services for Larry Johnson, 56, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Ferriday, who died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at his residence, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. James Beverly officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson was born Nov. 12, 1950, in Ferriday, the son of Dorothy Johnson. He was a parking lot attendant.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Johnson; and brother, Nathan Johnson.

Survivors include his sons, Arnell Mitchell of Houston, Texas, Larry Johnson Jr. of Tennessee, Damien Mitchell and Cornell Mitchell, both of New Orleans; daughters, Danelle Cheneau of Dallas, Tasha Jones of Houston, Tammy Jones of Atlanta, Janerus Johnson and Janiece Johnson, both of New Orleans; sisters, Doris Johnson of New Orleans, Joyce M. Johnson of Ferriday, Elnora Johnson and Robin Johnson of Baton Rouge.
