FAYETTE — Services for Steven L. Short, 35, of Fayette, who died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at his residence, will be noon Saturday at Mount Moriah Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Bell Hill-Hickory Block Cemetery, in Jefferson County, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home, Bude.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Short was born July 27, 1972, in New Orleans, the son of Herbert Short and Irene Runnels Short.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and grandmother, L.B. “Louvellar” Runnels.

Survivors include his father, Herbert Short; brothers, Brian Runnels and Glenn Runnels; grandfather, G.W. Runnels; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
