Dr. O. T. Loflin Jr., Natchez

1921 - 2007

NATCHEZ — Services for Dr. O.T. Loflin Jr., 85, of Natchez,who died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007 at his residence, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Jefferson Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Edwin M. Temple officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church.

Dr. Loflin was a lifelong member of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church. He retired from his dental practice in 1983. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Loflin.

Survivors include his son, O.T. Loflin III and wife Mary of Austin, Texas; daughter, Elizabeth Parey and husband Dr. Steven Parey of Columbia, Tenn.; grandchildren Robert Loflin, Leann Parey, and Stephen Parey; sister, Sue Booth of Tunica; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Robert Rasberry, Gerald Frazier, Bill Booth, Paul Wells, Robert Loflin and Stephen Parey.

I"m so sorry to hear about Dr. Loflin dying.My prayers & thoughts are with all of you.I remember going to see him as a little girl,in his office,I can still see it in my mine.That was a many of a years ago,because I"m now 50,But again you are in my thoughts.
