Marion Alexander Pierre Jean LaFite Carroll.
This was my 5th grade teacher in 1984 at McLaurin Elementary school. He was a true inspiration to his class, and made learning fun. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I had Mr. Carroll as a teacher at McLaurin in the mid 1970's, and I can still hear his roaring laugh resounding through the hall from his classroom. He cared about his students, and I wish more teachers were able to show the same kind of enthusiasm for sharing knowledge with young people that he did.
