Cheryl Slayton Bonnette, Winnsboro

1951 - 2007

WINNSBORO - Memorial services for Cheryl Slayton Bonnette, 56, of St. Joseph, who died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at her residence, are incomplete at Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Cheryl was born May 5, 1951, in Delhi, La., the daughter of John and Emo Chapman Slayton.

She was a LPN for 32 years. She served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran. She was a chef and she loved to make jewelry. Cheryl was a beautiful vocalist and was also a musician.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a set of twin babies deceased at birth.

Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Leslie Bonnette; daughters, Sarah Cowart and husband, Robert, of Natchez and Stephanie Revell and husband, John, of Georgetown, Texas; stepdaughter, Kristen Hoover and husband, Brad; sisters, Kathleen Garley and Billie Jean Slayton; adopted sister, Mileta Storey; grandchildren, Maribeth and Amelia Cowart, Evan, Wesley, Noah and Josie Revell, Reagan, Cierra and Darby Gauntt; and a number of friends.
