ST. JOSEPH, La. - Memorial services for Cheryl Slayton Bonnette, 56, of St. Joseph, who died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at First United Methodist Church in St. Joseph, La.

Cheryl was born May 5, 1951, in Delhi, La., the daughter of John and Emo Chapman Slayton.

She was a LPN for 32 years. She served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran. She was a chef and she loved to make jewelry. Cheryl was a beautiful vocalist and was also a musician.
