Stellastine J. Anderson, Natchez

1939 - 2007

NATCHEZ - Services for Stellastine “Stella” J. Anderson, 68, of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at noon Saturday at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park under the direction of Archie C. Curtis Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Anderson was born June 4, 1939, in Natchez, the daughter of Mose II and Johana Johnson. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son.

Survivors include her devoted children, Gloria Jean Anderson, Martin Anderson, Yvonne Marsaw and husband, Roosevelt Jr., Carl Anderson and Augustine Williams, Sandra Denise Anderson, all of Natchez, Linda Green and husband, Richard, both of Vidalia, Tyrone Anderson and wife, Linda, both of Brookhaven, special daughter, Sharon Campbell and husband, Kenny, both of Clarksdale; daughter-in-law, Lisa K. Anderson of Baton Rouge; brother-in-law, Martin Anderson and wife, Lillie Mae, both of Natchez; sisters, Emogene Johnson, Tywanna Johnson, both of Natchez, Melva Devalt and husband, Michael, both of Fayette, JoAnn Brown and husband, Eugene, both of Mound Bayou, and Shirley Nash and husband, Hillery, both of Chicago; brothers, Mose Johnson III and wife, Ethel, Jesse Johnson and wife, Bobbie, Ernest Johnson and wife, Claudia, the Rev. Jerry Johnson and wife, Patricia, all of Natchez, Richard Johnson and wife, Lucy, and Joseph Johnson, all of Jackson, and Henry Johnson and wife, CaSandra, both of Vicksburg; half-sister, Ruth Norbitt and husband, Robert, both of Natchez; special sister, Janie Green Johnson of Natchez; god-sister, Shontae Hargrave of Natchez; 17 grand children; nine great-greatgrandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Anderson and Johnson family are a loving and strong family to know. I have known them for over 20 years and Mrs. Stella was always a calm and sweet lady. I know they are keeping God first to make it through. I too, am keeping this family in my thoughts and prayers. NDE
