Prince Eugene Nix, Ferriday

FERRIDAY — Services for Prince Eugene Nix, 56, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Mary Anna Nursing Home, in Wisner, La., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy L. Slater officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Nix was born May 15, 1951, in Natchez, the son of Osborne and Edna Reed Nix.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include a son, Prince E. Nix Jr.; daughter, Lisa M. Nix, both of New Orleans; sisters, Thelma B. Lewis of Ferriday and Grace Reed of Natchez; three grandchildren; uncles, Willie Nix of Ferriday and Jimmie Nix of Jackson.
