Faye R. Fife, Ferriday

FERRIDAY — Services for Faye R. Fife, 88, of Newellton, who died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Tensas Nursing Home in Newellton, will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel.

A private family graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fife was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Waterproof.

She was a life long resident of Newellton and a member of the Waterproof Methodist Church.

Mrs. Fife was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. “Bob” Fife Sr.; son, Robert Odell “Bobby” Fife Jr.; father, Arthur L. Rhodes Sr.; mother, Hallie McAllister Rhodes; two brothers, Ade Rhodes and Arthur L. Rhodes Jr.

Survivors include daughter, Hallie Newman and husband, Lloyd, both of Newellton; son, Kenny Fife and wife, Wanda, both of Waterproof; four grandsons, Shannon Pearson of Ferriday, Michaux Pearson of Shreveport, Texas, Robert Pearson and wife, Alina, both of Lake St. John and Brad Fife and wife, Angela, both of Waterproof; granddaughter, Amy Vandeven and husband, Darrell, both of St. Joseph; great-grandchildren, Whitney and Emily Pearson, Drake and Chase Pearson, Taylor and Austin Pearson, Noah and Mason Fife and Avery, Emma and Thomas Vandeven; a number of nieces and nephews; special friends, Marcey and Margret Allen.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Pearson, Michaux Pearson, Robert Pearson, Brad Fife, Darrell Vandeven and Lloyd Newman.

Honorary pallbearers will be J. H. Bourgeois, Lyndon McNeely, Buddy Rhodes and Alman Marron.
