Annie Mae Jones

1932 - 2007

MEADVILLE — Services for Annie Mae Jones, 75, of Meadville, who died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at Southwest Medical Center, in Lafayette, La., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Fork United Methodist Church, in Meadville, with the Rev. Luther Bonds officiating.

Burial will follow at Byrd Cemetery, in Roxie, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Jones was born Nov. 24, 1932, in Franklin County, the daughter of Ella Smith and Leonard Jones.

She was preceded in death by her sons, James Phillips Jr. and Willie B. Phillips; granddaughter, Contina Jenkins; sisters, Lula Mae Hall and Luberta Cameron; and brothers, John and K.C. Anderson, Albert Buckles and Jessie Gibbs.

Survivors include a sister, Carrie Lee Rogers and husband, Cal, of Akron, Ohio; granddaughter, Sylviaette Harris of Meadville; grandson, James Harris of Bude; six great-grandchildren; a special; friend, Bernard Kelley of Meadville; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
