MARIANNA, Fla. — Memorials services for Jimmie Kelton Hobbs, 69, of Marianna, Fla., who died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Maddox Chapel with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
Mr. Hobbs was born in Holmes County, Fla., the son of Marcus L. and Autense Holman Hobbs. He lived most of his adult life in Natchez, working at Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge for many years and after retiring to Florida, he served as Governor of the Moose Lodge No. 1026 for two years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a niece, Deboraha Carroll.
Survivors include his daughters, Sherry Handjis and husband, John, both Vidalia and Vicki Sisk; grandchildren, Russell Handjis, Kristi Gillespie and husband, John, and Maucus Sisk; great-grandchildren, Chase and Ava Gillepise; sister, Janis Roberts and husband, Alvin, both of Marianna; a number of nieces, nephews and many friends; and long time companion, Patricia Chestney of Marianna.

I'm praying for you Sherry and Vickie...I still picture your dad driving that ole' blue ford van and hanging out with his group of friends drinking coffee at huddle house! He's probably swapping stories now.
