Julia Long Schultz

1915 - 2007

NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Julia Long Schultz, 92, of Centreville, formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, in Centreville, will be at 11 a.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Cathron Camp officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel.

Mrs. Schultz was born Feb. 17, 1915, in Macon, the daughter of George Meade Long and Eula Irene Fortenberry. She was a former member of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church and currently was a member of Centreville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Schultz was a member of the Pilot Club of Natchez and Mississippi Council on the Blind, Natchez Chapter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, the Rev. Charles S. Schultz; son, Charlie Schultz; grandson, Carroll Stevenson; and brother, George L. Long.

Survivors include her daughter, Margaret Cockerham of Woodville; son, Herbert H. “Buster” Schultz and wife, Sherry, both of Charleston; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
