Beatrice Barre, Natchez

1928 - 2007

NATCHEZ - Services for Beatrice “Bea” Barre, 79, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Mike Harrigill officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Barre was born Jan. 4, 1928, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Howard Eugene Green and Lilla Beatrice Sanford Green. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Barre was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Claude Barre Sr.; brother, Cornelius E. Sanders Jr.; grandson, Howard E. Barre Jr.; and great-grandson, Gage Lee Nettles.

Survivors include her sons, Joseph Claude Barre Jr. and wife, Robyn, George Edward Barre and wife, Katherine, all of Natchez, and Howard Eugene Barre and wife, Gail, both of Roxie; grandchildren, Michelle Nettles, Kristie Laird and husband, Nathan, Jodi Hardy and husband, David, Scott Ballard and wife, Amanda, Cameron Nettles and husband, Christopher and Jennifer Barady and husband, Jim; and great-grandchildren, Tanner Laird, Morgan Laird, Carson Laird, Aaron Nettles, Kelly Hardy, T.J. Ballard, Katelyn Ballard, Hannah Barre, MacKenzie Barady and Christopher Nettles; and sisters, Rose Marie Gray of Kenner, La., Nancy Burt and Linda Coyle, both of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Davis, Brad Hall, Jim Barady, Sampson Hawley, Trey Dunn and Joey Hawley.

Mrs Bea, will be missed she alway had a smile for all and helped so many in her church family. She was a great christian lady and loved the lord. love in Christ the Freemans
