To Connie's husband, sons, and other family members and friends- we were blessed to have known her. My little friend Chris asked for prayers for his teacher all the time at children's church. I knew her through working in the school system and at Bible Study at Parkway. I will keep you all in my prayers. Praying you will sense God's presence and comfort during this most difficult journey.

Connie was my cousin and I loved and will miss her greatly. I remember when she was little and aunt Betty and uncle Rush got married she was excited to be getting to a new mom since her mom went to heaven when she was about 3 I think. She always took up for people when someone hurt them like she did for me at our grandaddys funeral, but also read me the right act when i slighted a family member myself. Family met everything to her and she loved us all no matter what. When she got cancer she told me she had it so she could minister to others. Christ had the best soldier in Connie and she always thank God for every little thing such as being able to just get out of bed. I pray that Danny and the boys and my family find comfort in these memories in the days to come. Connie is in the loving arms of the lord and will get to know her biological mom Aunt Margie now. I know our cousin Bonnie Ann and my sister Sherry were waiting at the golden gates along with all our other family members that have pass on. Please pray for all her family and friends that are traveling now and keep them safe. All my love and prayers. Johnene Higginbotham Nash and Family

I was Connie’s Dad’s pastor in Shreveport for several years and learned to love and appreciate Connie, her love for her family, and her love for her Lord. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ uphold all of you during your time of grief. “The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble.” (Psa. 46:1)

I am so thankful I had the opportunity to share a small part in Connie's short life. She was such a Christian example to her family, friends & every one who she knew. Even others who only knew her name, knew the kindness, love & compassion she had for her Lord, her family & her many friends. God's blessings for Danny, Josh, Matt & the other family members during this difficult time. Love, Donna
