Paul Brittain Alford Jr., Natchez

NATCHEZ - Graveside services for Paul Brittain “Britt” Alford, Jr., 83, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at his residence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Natchez City Cemetery.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Alford was born Oct. 24, 1924, in Scott County, the son of Paul Brittain Alford and Sudie Mae Dowdle Alford. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University. Mr. Alford retired as Postmaster in Morton.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Wilkes Alford; and sisters, Wendolyn Alford Jaggers and Carolyn Alford Evans.

Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Zuccaro and husband, Edward, both of Natchez; son, Paul B. Alford III and wife, Rebecca Rogers Alford, both of Hartsville, S.C.; grandchildren, Blaire, Alex, and Patrick Rogers, Holly and Brittain Alford, all of Hartsville, S.C., and Christopher Zuccaro of Bowling Green, Ky.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
