Johnnie Pollard Scott, St. Joseph

1932 - 2007

ST. JOSEPH, La. — Services for Johnnie Pollard Scott, 75, of St. Joseph, who died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Baptist Church, in St. Joseph, with the Rev. William Brady officiating.

Burial will follow at Panola Cemetery, in St. Joseph, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Scott was born July 30, 1932, the daughter of Joseph and Fannie Brown Pollard. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Toy Mack Scott.

Survivors include her sons, Richard L. Scott and Donald Scott and wife, Maude, all of St. Joseph, Mitchell Scott and wife, Helen, both of New Orleans and Robin Scott of Las Vegas; daughters, Dorothy Diggles and husband, Eugene, both of New Orleans, Mae Sue Scott, Fannie Foster and husband, Cash, and Faith Rollins, all of St. Joseph and Johnnie Scott of Las Vegas; brothers, Calvin Pollard and wife, Betty, and Joseph Pollard Jr. and wife, Mamie, all of San Francisco; sisters, Hazel Britton of St. Joseph, Margie Wilson of Seattle and Adline Bass of Newellton; sister-in-law, Rosie Pollard of New Orleans; 31 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
