Mrs. Whitmore. I too have fond memories of Mrs. Whitmore. Long time ago, we (children) thought teachers were "almost like God or the President". She seemed at first "unapproachable" only because she was so grand. As a child, I would stop by her house and talk to her. She just had a way with making you feel "special". That lady was always so kind and uplifting and encouraging. I also loved to hear her sing.

Ms. Whitmore lived "across the fence" from me when I was a child. She retrieved many a ball from her yard for us...she was always kind, pleasant, and gave all the kids in the nieghborhood endless treats. A great family...a great lady!
