Adlee Walk

Services for Adlee Walk, 62, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Emmanuel Church of God.

Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home, Bude.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Ms. Walk was born Oct. 11, 1944, in Orlando, Fla., the daughter of Johnny Shelton and Thelma Fuller Hawkins. She was associated with St. Mary’s Care Center and the Salvation Army, both of Madison, Mich., Stew Pot and Natchez Housing.

She was preceded in death by her father; stepfather, Eligha Simmions; daughter, Debra Shelton Echols; son, Anthony Shelton; and great-grandson, Laron Echols.

Survivors include her loving daughters, Carline Walk Harper and Thelma Brewer Lindsey; son, Demertius Walk and wife, Dorothy; loving mother, Thelma Fuller Hawkins; a brother, Eligha Simmions and wife, LaShawn; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; godchildren, Raymond and Benyatta Bailey; godsisters, Sallie, Everlean, Annice and Bonnie; special cousins, John Curtis, Linda Howard, and Davette Johnson; niece, Kalielah; nephew, Phoenix; and a number of other relatives and friends.
