Bill Delaughter, Natchez

1925 - 2007

NATCHEZ — Services for Bill Delaughter, 90, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at Glenburney Nursing Home, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Ray Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Delaughter was born Jan. 17, 1925, in Brookhaven, the son of Ferdinand B. and Eunice Graves Delaughter. He was preceeded in death by his parents, a brother, Leroy Delaughter and two sisters, Bessie Rollins and Sara Bardwell.

He is survived by his wife, Margie; three sons, Billy D. Delaughter and wife Patsy, Johnny Delaughter and wife Tina and Gary Delaughter, all of Natchez; two daughters, Janis Norris and husband Carl, of Natchez, and Elaine Green and husband Clarence of Alabama; nine grandchildren, Mark Norris, Kevin Delaughter, Johnny Delaughter Jr., Tinia Grantham, Elizabeth Collier, Christine Delaughter, Jennifer Delaughter, Danyelle Kilgore and Angel Netterville; nine great-grandchildren, Patrick Delaughter, Mark Norris Jr., E.J. Grantham, Bridgette and Marilyn Delaughter, Taylor and Ashley Grantham, Tiffany Norris and Grace Marie Murphey; four sisters, Mary Alice Bardwell, Christine Smith, Erma Nell Beeson and Annie Belle Carter.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons and friends of the family.
