Kristin Leigh Holmes, Woodville

1991 - 2007

WOODVILLE — Services for Kristin Leigh Holmes, 15, of Woodville, who died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, as a result of an auto accident in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Newman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Case officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, in Woodville, under the direction of Newman Funeral Home, Woodville.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Kristin was born Aug. 9, 1991, the daughter of Wanda Holmes of Woodville and Michael Holmes of Meadville. She was a student at Wilkinson County Christian Academy. She was a cheerleader at WCCA and also a member of the basketball team and the track team. She was a member of the state championship mile relay team. Kristin loved horses.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jimmy Wheeler Sr. and Ruth Wheeler and paternal grandmother, Linda Holmes; and cousin, Justin Wiley.

Survivors include her parents; brother, Dustin Holmes; half brother, Dillon Holmes; paternal grandfather, Tommy Holmes of Cranfield; aunts and uncles, Larry and Carolyn Reeves of Bogue Chitto, Bob and Diane Bankston of Centreville, Debra Wiley, Rhoda Holmes, Jimmy Wheeler Jr. and Danny Holmes, all of Natchez, and Ken Wheeler of Woodville; cousins, Stacey Rose, Brandon Ford, Erin Netterville, Ron Wheeler, Jason Wheeler, Emmie Wheeler, Harley Wheeler, Spencer Reeves and Robyn Powels.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Arnold, Justin Davis, George Davis, Sean Venezia, Dustin Smith, Brenna Bush, Adam Smith and Corey Havard.

i grew up with her dad and mother,they were really nice.this is so heart breaking.where does clara woods and katherine wheeler live now?we went to school together,i am sure they have all married by now.my prayers goes out to the family.virginia pritchard chambers

every is goin to miss krit. u where my friend. ive known u since pre-k. now its goin to be hard to sit in class now and not see kristin even though she would sleep through every class. my names bill trevillion and kristin was my friend and my fellow classmate.

iloveyou kristin. and i allways will. its going to be hard withoutyou. you were my first friend at my new school.you were allways there for me. you hated to see me hurt or upset. you were ready to beat some ass when someone hurt me. you allways had my back. i used to haveso muchfun with you weather if we were riding in the car tryin to sing music or if we would be in your room watching movies and talking. I have allot of great memories of us...and i will never forget. i just dont under stand why. why you? why did it have to happen. why did god have to take mybest friend and my "big sister". well you cant question the works of the lord. i guess that question will go unanswered. well i love you. and i am sorry you left before i got to let you know how good of a friend you were to me. its going to be hard to finish life with out you babe.

To the family of Kristin Leigh Holmes I am truly sorry about this loss. I was reading in the paper about it and it is just so hard to look and read about a these 3 young people losing there life. I will keep you all in my prayers. I didn't know Kristin but I am sure she was a fun and loving person. And again I am truly sorry about this loss. KRISTIN WE LOVE YOU GIRL!!!!!

we love you krit you will alaways be remembered in our hearts you made a lasting impression in my life and in the lives of many ppl around you....to the family i bestow my deepest sympathies and if there is any thing i can do please let me know...i couldnt imagine somethin so horrible happening but God has a plan and a reason for everything so i will look forward to the day that we are able to join her in heaven

Krit my baby girl,
I have so many wonderful memories of u... I'm so blessed that God brought me back here so I could spend some time with you! I love you so much and miss you so much!!! I don't what I'm going to do without U and Wiley... we were roll dawgs... I will see you again though... I LOVE YOU and remember BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY!!!!
