NATCHEZ — Services for Willie Lewis, 71, of Natchez, who died Monday, July 16, 2007, at Mississippi Baptist Hospital in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Plain Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Minor and the Rev. Leroy White officiating.

Burial will follow at Fleming Family Cemetery (Old Windy Hill) under the direction of the R.D. Mackel and Sons.

Visitation is from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Lewis was born March 31, 1936, in Adams County, the son of Clayborn Lewis and Alice Stewart Lewis.

He was a member of Mount Plain Baptist Church and was a truck driver.

Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and a brother.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Fleming Lewis of Natchez; five children, Pinkey Lewis and Tanya Lewis of Biloxi, Forestine Carter of Flint, Mich., Nedra Lewis of Waveland and Charles Singleton of Dallas, Texas; seven step-children, Janice Fleming, Carolyn Fleming, Marilyn Fleming and Mary Fleming, all of Jackson, Douglas Fleming of Natchez, Richard Fleming of Memphis, Tenn. and Cartrell Fleming of Iraq; five brothers, Jellest Lewis and wife, Clara of Waveland, Boris Lewis and wife, Ruby of Bay St. Louis, Jessie Lewis and wife, Beatrice of Natchez, Clayborn Lewis of Elberton, Ga. and Johnnie Lewis and wife, Diane of Los Angeles, Calif.; three grandchildren, Kimberly Lewis of Biloxi, Nigel Lewis and Justin Lewis of Waveland; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Aadrain Bernard, Douglas Fleming, Cartrell Fleming, Derrick Fleming, Otis Lewis and Tranthony Bernard.
