CLAYTON — Graveside services for Helen Humphries, 58, of Clayton, who died Monday, June 25, 2007, at her residence, in Clayton, will be 3 p.m. today at Sharon Cemetery with Bro. Verhoef officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Ferriday.

Mrs. Humphries was born Sept. 18, 1948, in Winnfield, the daughter of Ray Jim Thompson and Helen Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Smith; and brother, Chester Thompson.

Survivors include her son, Delmar Humphries Jr. of Wilson, La.; daughter, Theresa Norman of Coushatta, La.; sisters, June Overstreet of Pearland, Texas and Ruth Folden of Winnfield; brother, Doug Thompson of Sikes; six grandchildren, Eric and Benji Norman, Dillon, Duston, Samantha and Casida Humphries.

Pallbearers will be Kermit Humphries, Ernie Humphries, Mitchell Gossett, Gary Gossett, Chris Temple and Sharon Coutee.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Humphries and Milbert Parker.
