Ruby K. Sandel, Vidalia

VIDALIA — Graveside services for Ruby K. Sandel, 81, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Natchez City Cemetery with the Rev. Faye Hudnall officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel.

Mrs. Sandel was born July 19, 1926, in Natchez, the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Ruby Clark Kisner. She was a member of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church. Mrs. Sandel is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry A. Sandel; three brothers and a sister.

Survivors include her son, Adrian Sandel and wife, Joan, both of Dixon, Calif.; daughter, Mary Lou Sandel Laird and husband, Glynn, both of Natchez; grandchildren, Adrian Sandel and wife, Lisa, both of Natchez, Sarah Sandel Davies and husband, Dion, both of Dixon, Calif., Alison Sandel Buchanan and husband, Jeremy, both of Los Gatos, Calif., Benjamin Sandel of Sacramento, Calif., Allen Laird and wife, Melinda, both of Natchez and Elizabeth Laird of Grayton Beach, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Will Sandel, Taylor Shanks, Addison and Anabella Laird; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children Research Hospital or a charity of choice.
