FERRIDAY - Services for Preston Allen, 53, of Monterey, who died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at Brazostart Memorial Hospital, in Lake Jackson, Texas, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home with the Revs. Russell Crum and Billy Wallace officiating.

Burial will follow at Ferrell Family Cemetery, in Monterey, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Allen was born Dec. 18, 1953, the son of Joseph Allen and Madge Clark Allen. He was employed as a turbin millwright for Hickham Industries.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Anthony Allen; and sister, Rita Kimble.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Allen of Monterey; daughter, Samantha Allen of West Monroe, La.; son, Ethan Allen of Monterey; brothers, Barney Allen, Ricky Allen, Gary Allen and John Allen; sisters, Patricia Brandenburg, Lorie Roberts and Michelle King; mother-in-law, Virginia Watson of Monterey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Melvin Stutes, A.G. Green, Bill Barnes, Leighton Ferrell, John Farris and Jeff Ames.
