Jennie L. Moore Crumpton, Natchez

1920 - 2007

NATCHEZ — Services for Jennie Louise Moore “Granny” Crumpton, 87, of Dallas and Natchez, who died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, will be at 10 a.m. at the Maranatha Haven in Natchez with her son James Crumpton Jr. and her grandson Brian Fuller officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the Maranatha Haven.

Born June 13, 1920, in Iva, S.C., Jennie Crumpton was the daughter of Luther and Jennie Moore. Mrs. Crumpton is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James W. Crumpton, her parents, five brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include five children, James W. Crumpton Jr. and wife Janet, of Nampa, Idaho, Eulalia Feltcher and husband Chuck, of Phoenix City, Ala., Jean Fuller and husband Hoyt, of Greenwood S.C., Jennie Lynn Goodwin and husband Ken, both of Smithdale, and Dottie Lindsey and husband Steve, both of Dallas; one sister, Evelyn Moore Wall, of Jennings, La.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and great-grand nephews and nieces.

Since her trust in Christ in 1951, Jennie Lou Crumpton lived out her Christian faith as a godly Proverbs 31 model lady. Her faithful commitment to her Lord, her preacher husband and five children are legendary. She has children and grandchildren in ministry and many lives she touched and influenced continue her legacy.

“Her children shall rise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.” Proverbs 31:28.
