FAYETTE - Services for Mattie Thelma Owens, 90, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Fayette.
Burial will follow at Waterloo Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Owens was born June 20, 1917, in Lorman, the daughter of Jason Harris and Martha Harris Winchester.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fritz Simmons Owens; one brother, Jason Harris; two sisters, Atlanta Mason and Monzora Davis; and one grandson, Robert Davis Sr.
Survivors include one son, Jessie Davis and wife, Claudia; two granddaughters, Debra Davis and Michelle Polk; three great-grandchildren, Robert Davis Jr., Shawn Polk Jr. and Derra Motley, all of Chicago; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Harris of Port Gibson and Nellie Johnson of Vicksburg; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
