NATCHEZ - Services for Lee Edward Harris, 64, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Comer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Ensminger officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Harris was born Aug. 24, 1943, in Jones, La., the son of Henry L. and Myrtle Ree Harris. He was a retired drilling superintendent with Wilcox Drilling and a retired truck driver with First Fleet. Mr. Harris was an avid outdoorsman. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia S. Harris; one son, Ronald Harris and wife, Buffy; one daughter, Cathy Stroud and husband, Marty, all of Wesson; his mother; one brother, Gerald Harris of Colfax, La.; five grandchildren, Lindsey Stroud, Cory Stroud, Erin Stroud, Joseph Harris and Morgan Harris; one great-grandchild, Madison McNatt, all of Wesson; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Tarver, Joey Tarver, Mark Gillespie, Jason Harris, Jerry Harris and Tim Frith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Denny, Dustin Edwards, J.D. Denny, Ricky Burns, Charles Ray Roberts, Billy Smedley, Crawford Harris, Pat Tucker, Son Gillespie, Wayne Tarver, Greg Duncan, Gary Duncan, and the trucker buddies.
