My Uncle George was one of the kindest and sweetest men I know. He always had a big kiss and a hug for us when we went to see him, and we usually left with a ten or twenty dollar bill tucked into a pocket or purse.

When he knew we were coming to visit, he always brought cake and ice cream home from the store in the evenings and no matter what time he came home, we all ate cake and ice cream!

He was a fixture in my life, along with Aunt Frances, (my mother's sister) for all of my 59 years. I knew his health was failing and I saw him fight with his illness for many years. I am glad his fight is over, for his sake, but I will miss him greatly, and it makes me sad to know those happy days when we visited him have ended. My prayers are with my aunt Frances and all of the boys, my cousins, and their families.

Uncle George, you can eat all of the cake you want to now!!!
I will miss you. . . . .Thanks for all the lovely family memories and good times.
With much love -
Your niece,
Glynrose Hanberry Brinson, San Antonio, TX
