Junius Lee Reason, Garden City

1941 - 2008

GARDEN CITY - Services for Junius Lee “Long Hair” Reason, 66, of Natchez, who died Friday, April 11, 2008, in Lorman, will be at noon Saturday at St. Matthew Baptist Church, in Garden City, with Pastor Frank Jenkins officiating.
Burial will follow at Pernell Cemetery, in Garden City, under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Reason was born Sept. 2, 1941, in Church Hill, the son of Alfred and Julia Reason. He attended Jefferson County Public Schools. He was a retired logger. Mr. Reason was a Baptist and a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, helping others and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include special companion, Annie Chatman of Natchez; three sons, Anthony Reason and wife, Diane, both of Twin Cities, Minn., David Chatman and wife, Catrina, both of Houston, and Timothy Chatman and wife, Angela, both of Natchez; six daughters, LeKita Fleming and husband, Donnell, Gladys Conner and Sandy Edney, all of Natchez, Sheila , Connie and Joyce Reason, all of Twin Cities; two brothers, Freeman Reason and wife, Esther, and Clarence “Jack” Reason, all of Natchez; one twin sister, Julia Ware of Church Hill; one stepsister, Hattie Bindon of Natchez; 20 grandchildren, Christine, Kimtoya, Samayia, Brittany and Lavonte’ Reason, all of Twin Cities, Shonette Chatman, Roshad and Tyler Fleming, all of Natchez, Kanethia Smith of Doloroso, Daesha Chatman of Houston, Ebony and Brandon Chatman, Tiffany and Shamika Edney, Damion, Derrick and Timothy Chatman, Kenyan Hence, Monique and Jasmine Tyms, all of Natchez; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, close friends and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Charles Conner, Donnell Fleming, Matt Mason, George Mason, Micheal Thomas and Richard Fleming.

Uncle Nut/Hair was such a great person and was always there when we needed him. We are very thankful for having him as a uncl. Rest in peace Uncle Hare and we promise to take care of your lovely twin Momma Ware.

Cous ,we love u and we will always be here for u, I have personally thank God for the time u got to spend with ur dad recently,u must remember,God said that he would not put no more on us than we can bear.This is truly a celebration and a homegoing because The souls of the rightous are in the hands of God and know that u will see him again in glory.
