NATCHEZ - Services for Thomas Lee Tyson, 81, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with Dr. Edgar Wright officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Tyson was born March 10, 1927, in Bude, the son of George L. and Mary K. Pepper Tyson. He was a Baptist. Mr. Tyson served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death b y his parents; his wife, Ruth Tyson; one daughter, Martha Freeman; and four brothers, George Tyson, Garland W. Tyson, Noel Tyson and Ray Tyson.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynn Hicks and husband, Don, both of Natchez, and Tommie Jean Scrimpshire and husband, Scott, both of Moselle; four grandchildren, Jamie Tyson, Lacie Hicks, Justin Hicks and McKayla Scrimpshire; and three brothers, Billy Tyson of Jackson, Virgil Tyson of Monroe, La., and Jerry Tyson of Bolton.
Pallbearers will be Glen Tyson, Leland Rymer, Chris Binns, Jamie Robinson, Carl Smith and Sam Thomas.
Honorary pallbearer will be Billy Floyd.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.
