Jessie Lee Punchard Grantham, Jonesville

1941 - 2008

JONESVILLE - Services for Jessie Lee Punchard Grantham, 66, of Harrisonburg, La., who died Monday, April 21, 2008, in Harrisonburg, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church, in Jonesville, with the Rev. Norris Poole, the Rev. Ernest Oliver and the Rev. Paul Pruitt officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. today until service time Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Grantham June 23, 1941, in Wildsville, La., the daughter of Lee Punchard and Myrtis Punchard Burgess. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded is death by her parents and stepfather, John Burgess.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Cecil L. Grantham; three daughters, Bonnie Coto of Palmetto, La., Tracy Hamilton and husband, Chris, both of Sicily Island, and Beth Wesberry and husband, Ronnie, both of Jonesville; two sons, Randy Grantham and wife, Blanch, both of Jonesville, and Donnie Grantham and wife, Stephanie, both of Canton; two sisters, Sally Sims of Meridian and Virgie Hamilton of Bentonville, Ark.; three brothers, Roger Punchard of Winnsboro, La., Leon Punchard and Johnny Punchard, both of Jonesville; and 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Wesberry, Matthew Hutto, James Pierre, Jamie Haymon, Elton Tolbert and Randall Manley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sherman Ford and Rodney Wesberry.

i will never forget the times in church when the holyghost would fall aunt jessie would start to spin slow and before long she was shouting under the annointing of the holy ghost what a testimony she left if i could say anything to her today it would be AUNT JESSIE HANG ON CAUSE I WANT TO SHOUT AND DANCE DOWN THOSE GOLDEN STREETS WITH YOU.IT WONT BE LONG WERE ON OUR WAY
