Ida B. Sproles, Woodville

WOODVILLE - Services for Ida B. Sproles, 77, of Jackson, La., who died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, La., will be at 10 a.m. today at Newman Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, with the Rev. Lloyd Forman officiating.
Burial will follow at Wesberry Cemetery, in Woodville, under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville.
Mrs. Sproles was born April 4, 1931, in Woodville. She was Nurse’s Aide.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Daniel and Nellie Elizabeth Wesberry Vines; her husband, Green Sproles; four sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include her son, Gary Sproles and wife, Charlotte, both of Longview, Texas; one sister, Carmel DeVille of Jackson, La.; five brothers, Joe Vines, Monette Vines, Gordon Vines and Leroy Vines, all of Woodville and George Vines of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Hi Sorry for the loss. I had an Aunt Ida Sproles in that area. My fathers name was JZ Sproles born in 1908 who committed suicide and after that I lost all contact with that side of the family. He had a 3 brothers Leslie and Henry of Gilbert La. and Prentiss Edward who is deceased also. Prentiss lived in Virginia with wifes name Thelma. My name is Charles Edward with 3 sisters LaRita, Carolyn and Kathy. We also had half sisters and brothers Alan and Nolan and 3 girls Betty, Anida and Ailene.

JZ SPROLES WAS MY GRANDFATHER AND ALLEN SPROLES IS MY FATHER. I DO NOT KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THIS FAMILY. THE ONLY OTHER PERSON I KNOW IS ALLINE, MY FATHERS TWIN SISTER.
