Pearlie James Williams, Natchez

1943 - 2008

NATCHEZ - Services for Pearlie James Williams, 64, of Natchez, who died Sunday, April 20, 2008, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at noon Saturday at Southwood Lodge Baptist Church with the Rev. John Scott Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Williams was born Dec. 7, 1943, in Natchez, the son of Tom and Louise Williams. He was employed with Adams County Road Management and was retired. Mr. Williams was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two children, Catrena Bassett and Dedrick Bassett; four grandchildren, Teddra, Ty’Onne, Talaysia, and Ty’Nia Bassett; one great-grandson, Xavion Davis; six brothers, Henry, Tommy, Ernest, Walter, Charles and Jesse Williams; and seven sisters, Mary Ware, Mattie Williams, Beatrice Jones, Virginia Washington, Estelle Williams, Augustine McCaleb and Barbara Jones.
Pallbearers will be Philip Bowman, John Henry Latham, Anthony Latham, Caleb Johnson, Billy Ray Johnson, Jeno Walker, Kevin Barber and Arthur White.
