Thomas Harold Jones, Natchez

1920 - 2008

NATCHEZ - Graveside services for Thomas Harold Jones, 87, of Monterey, who died Friday, April 25, 2008, at St. Dominic Hospital, in Jackson, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mashulaville Cemetery in Mashulaville.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Jones was born Dec. 29, 1920, in Mashulaville, the son of DeWitt Clinton and Annie Pearl Triplett Jones. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in South Africa and Italy while in the U.S. Army. He retired from Jordan Motor Company after many years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jean Halvorsen and Janie Daffron; and one brother, DeWitt H. Jones.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Janie Lane of Richland; two granddaughters, Jennifer Moss and husband, Chris, both of Carthage, and Courtney Snell and husband, Doug, both of Harrisville; three great-grandchildren, Karlee Clark, Russell Roberts and Hagan Roberts; two sisters, Beth Jones of Bedford, Texas and Betty Chandler and husband, Bill, both of Lakeway, Texas; one sister-in-law, Lillian Jones of Natchez; and a number of nieces and nephews.
