Phillis G. Burress, Ferriday

FERRIDAY - Services for Phillis G. Burress, 66, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center, in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ferriday Church of God with the Rev. Bill Isaacs officiating.
Private family services will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the church.
Mrs. Burress was born Nov. 11, 1941, in Cheyenne, Wyo., the daughter of Keith and Eulala Creek. She was a self employed provider agent and was a member of the Ferriday Church of God.
She was preceded in death by one son, Mark Wayne Burress; her parents; daughter-in-law, Theresa Burress; and three sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Burress; four sons, Paul Vinson Burress Sr., Phillip James Kent Burress, Paul Vinson Burress Jr. and Mark Phillip Michael Burress; one daughter, Patricia Lynn Burress; three grandchildren, Alexandra Spurgon, Hannah Micah Marie Burress and Mark Phillip Branum Burress; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Terri Mae Burress and Sean Paul Burress; two brothers; and one sister.
