SICILY ISLAND, La. - Services for Daisy Mae Warden, 79, of Clayton, who died Thursday, March 6, 2008, in Clayton, will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Sicily Island, with Bro. James Gass officiating.
Burial will follow at New Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Warden was born Dec. 31, 1928, in Lake Providence, La., the daughter of Cazzie Bowen and Maggie Keller Bowen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Edna Dorothy Boyer, Esther Lenora Brinkle and Katherine Malloy.
Survivors include her husband, Leon Warden; two daughters, Tommy Jean Batey and husband, Dallas Jr., both of Sicily Island, and Leah Gorum of Pineville, La.; two sisters, Mary Lee Morgan and Patricia Ann Milligan, both of Natchez; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dallas Batey Jr., Brian Batey, Ed Ward, John Bird, Matt Myers and Walter Myers Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sam E. Dale and Barney Bowlin.
