George Dudley "Doug" Thornton, Monterey

Monterey — Services for George Dudley “Doug” Thornton, 81, of Monterey, formerly of Newellton, who died Friday March 14, 2008, will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Christian Fellowship Church in Winnsboro.
Burial will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Christian Fellowship Church.
Thornton was a retired oil field worker.
