Dear Kevin, Adele & Lucian,Jr.,
I want to express my sympathy to you in the loss of your dear mother. Kay Cummins is my married name but my maiden name is Kay Smith and I went to school with you when we were kids.
Your mother made a lifelong impression on me when I was a young girl working with her at the Welfare Department in Fayette in 1975-77. Anna was a true lady. Her genuine care and concern for others was always evident to everyone that knew her. Her kindness, warmth and empathy made her good at her job, good at being a friend, and in her most important role as mother and grandmother.
She truly made a difference in so many lives, in so many ways.
Sincerely,
Kay Smith Cummins

To the family: I would like to offer you my deepest sympathy. Anna and I worked closely together at the Department of Human Services, and she was good in every way;
her friendships and her job. I would like to ask that the family take comfort in knowing what a wonderful person Anna really was.
