NATCHEZ &8212; Services for Binard Montgomery, 93, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at Adams County Nursing Home, will be held at 2 p.m. today from Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven.

Burial will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, Franklin County under the direction of Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Mr. Montogmery was born Nov. 3, 1912, in Franklin County, the son of Lizzy Davis and Effie Montgomery. He was retired from International Paper Company. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II on an Aircraft Carrier at Pearl Harbor. He was a member of Ramah Baptist Church in Franklin County.

He is prceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Adlie Lee Smith Montgomery; a brother, Jewell Montgomery; four sisters, Bootsie Lewis, Ava Kyzar, Nettie Mae Laird and Modis Lee.

He is survived by his wife, Cleo Montgomery of Natchez; one brother, Dennis Montgomery of Meadville, and one sister, Christine Smith of Brookhaven.

FORT ADAMS &8212; Services for Rosie M. Arbuthnot, 48, of Fort Adams, who died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at Mississippi State Hospital in Jackson, will be held at noon today, from Zion Hill Baptist Church in Fort Adams, with the Rev. Allen Scott officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lee Family Cemetery under the direction of Williams and Williams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Arbuthnot was born Aug. 27, 1957, in Mississippi, the daughter of Pearl and James Henry Lee. She was a housewife. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Centerville, and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church of Fort Adams.

She is preceded in death by her father.

Her survivors include her husband, Michael Arbuthnot of Gloster; her mother; one daughter, Demetrice Stone and husband Lerion of Baton Rouge; three sons, Julius Jackson and wife Natalie of Baton Rouge, Demond Jackson of Baton Rouge and Riginald Jackson and wife LaTanya of Dallas, Tex.; two sisters, Anniebell Armstrong of Woodville, Dorothy Crushfield and husband Leroy of Woodville; one foster sister, Jannis Martin of Woodville; one god sister, Emma Armstrong of New Orleans; one uncle, Charlie Haynes of Woodville; two aunts, Frazel Brackens of Weynoke, La., and Annie Liza Lee of Woodville; five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Bernice V. Jarvis

WOODVILLE &8212; Services for Bernice V. Jarvis, 84, of Woodville, who died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, in the comfort of her home, will be held Saturday at noon from Chapel Baptist Church in Woodville, with the Rev. Allen Scott officiating.

Burial will follow in the Cedar Rest Cemetery in Woodville, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mother Bernice was born on Oct. 14, 1921, to the late Will and Ella McQuirter in Woodville. She confessed Christ in 1941 under the leadership of the late Rev. Levi Bethley. She was a faithful worker and mother of Chapel Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Allen Scott.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three sons; one daughter; one sister; and four brothers.

Mother Bernice leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted husband, George Jarvis Jr.; two sons, Daniel Veals and wife Faye of Woodville, Oliver Veals and wife Ortensia of Milpitas, Calif.; nine daughters, Evang Emma Stewart of San Francisco, Calif., Evelyn Riley, Jessie Thomas both of Meterie. La., Mary Conrad, Cordell Brown of Baton Rouge, Shelia Andrews, Sarah Veals, Orlean Veals, and Mable Brown and husband Rev. Tyser all of Woodville; two sisters, Laura Ford of San Francisco, Calif., and Jessie Anderson of New Orleans; five sisters-n-law, Thelma Jarvis, Olivia Carter, Josephine Jarvis, Irma Jarvis all of Woodville, and Eula Jarvis of Centerville; two brothers-n-law, Hillary Jarvis of Woodville, and Leon Jarvis of Centerville; forty-five grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren; seven great- great grandchildren; a special nephew, William &8220;Rob&8221; McQuirter; two special great grandsons, Sargent Allen and Stevenson Veals; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and the Chapel Baptist Church Family.

NATCHEZ &8212; Services for Wanda Leigh Lambert, 44, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, in Roxie, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday from Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with Rev. Richard Cullum officiating.

Burial will follow in the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lambert was born Aug. 5, 1961 in Natchez, the daughter of Bobby Ray Davis and Ann Tarver Castleberry.

She is preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, John and Mazie Tarver; paternal grandparents, William and Nancy Davis; a nephew, Howard Barre Jr.

Her survivors include her mother; one daughters, Kimberly Dawn Sims of Nachez; two brothers, Bobby Ray Davis Jr. of Natchez and Carlos Lawrence Ray Davis of Vidalia; two sisters, Gail Barre and husband Howard of Roxie,, and Tara Lawrence and husband Mike of Clarksville, Tenn.; five nieces, Kristie Laird and husband Nathan of Vidalia, Skylar Lawrence of Tenn., Beth and Ashley Davis of Baton Rouge, and Stephanie Vacco of Ferriday; two nephews, Zachary Morris, and Michael Wyatt Lawrence; one great niece, Morgan Laird and one great nephew, Tanner Laird.

Pallbearers will be Chris Sims, John Burns, Ed Conn, Joe Barre, Jamie Lawrence, Bobby Davis and Zachary Morris.
