The Miss-Lou Crappie Club had its fourth tournament of the year at Lake Louie on Saturday under bad weather conditions with rain, lightening and thunder. Seven club members boated and fished for first place in the club standings. A total of 77 pounds of crappie were caught. Borderline Bass Club winners on Lake Louie were, from left, first place winner Carrol Ray Huff of Natchez (10.85 pounds; 4.75 lunker); second place winner Doug Schexnayder of Vidalia (10.85); third place winner Joey Chapman of Vidalia (6.95) and fourth place winner Charlie Brister (6.95). The Borderline Bass Anglers held their May 26 event on a very dingy falling Lake Louie near Sicily Island in the pleasant 65-83 degree air conditions. The 74-77 degree water produced 48 keepers and six limits for the 15 members plus two guests under a hazy sky. Others with fish were Charlie Brister (three for 6.95), Ricky Gillespie (five for 6.15), Bob Holland (four for 6.05), Wayne Doolittle (five for 5.45), Thomas Freeman (five for 5.20), Bill Murray (three for 4.40), Terry Grant (two for 4.10), Barry Chapman (three for 3.60), Clifton Chapman (two for 2.55) and Keith Andrews (one for 1.10). The Borderline Bass Anglers had their Saturday event on a very dingy falling Lake St. John near Ferriday in 72-84 degree humid air conditions. The 80-84 degree calm water produced 29 keepers but only 1 limit for the 15 members under a partly cloudy sky. Winner Bob Holland, at left, crushed the field with a 15.75 five bass limit using mostly plastics after some buzz bait action early. Carrol Ray Huff, second from left, had 3 for 8 pounds fooled by a multibaits for second while third was Mike Essary, second from right, with 3 for 7.70, mostly on crank baits. Others with fish were: Bill Murray (4 for 6.70) at right, Barry Chapman (3 for 6.20), Phillip Harper (2 for 5.70, lunker of 4.35), Joey Chapman (3 for 4.50), Cliff Persick (3.90), Clifton Chapman (2 for 3.0), Doug Schexnayder (2.35), Keith Andrews (2.30) and Terry Grant (1.15).
