Ferriday Lower Elementary School first-grade teacher Margaret Carter, has more than 30 years of teaching experience. She knows the importance of proper planning, effective instruction and making sure that all students are actively engaged. “I seem to get much more accomplished with small group instruction,” she said. “Sometimes, my students have trouble comprehending a skill but when we work daily in small groups, they appear to learn with ease.
