Ben Hillyer | The Natchez Democrat Trinity Episcopal Day School student recently competed in the Science Olympiad at the University of Southern Mississippi. The winners were: Madelyn Cross, ninth grade, bronze in food science and RoboCross; Morgan Huber, ninth grade, gold in anatomy and science world, bronze in food science; Eric James, ninth grade, silver in crave the wave; Nick Partridge, ninth grade, gold in road scholar; Cody Strickland, ninth grade, silver in meteorology; Sammy QaDan, eighth grade, crave the wave; Madeline Iles, eighth grade, gold in rocks and minerals, bronze in RoboCross and simple machines; Bethany Ogden, eighth grade, gold in scrambler and rocks and minerals and silver in bio-process lab; Margaret Ward, eighth grade, gold in scrambler and amphibians and reptiles and silver is disease detective; Danielle Trottier, eighth grade, gold in anatomy and amphibians and reptiles; Ashton Mason, seventh grade, participated in ecology, oceanography and write it-do it; Murphy Aldridge, seventh grade, gold in science word; Wesley Gore, seventh grade, gold in road scholar, silver in bio-process lab; Logan Sewell, seventh grade; participated in tower, reach for the stars and trajectory; Thomas Carey, sixth grade, gold in disease detective; Jack Daly, sixth grade, gold in crave the wave; Jessica Trottier, sixth grade, gold in disease detective and crave the wave; Michael Iles, sixth grade, participated in metric mastery, ecology, anatomy and mystery architecture; Sarah Rodriguez, sixth grade, silver in meteorology and disease detective, bronze in simple machines.
